NATURE WALK & TALK

~ A creative mindful experience ~

Join me in observing and exploring your inner and outer landscapes.  To inspire and create your authentic visions. We will stroll through a local park, taking the time to slow down to tune in to the moment. To connect and relate with ourselves, others, and the world around us through our senses. Jennifer will guide and teach through creative mindful practices and techniques. Teaching several drawing exercises to engage us deeper into the direct experience, letting go of perfection, and control of outcomes. We will learn to free the inner critic to find our truest and most authentic expression. We will tap into all the benefits that nature has to offer, by tuning in to our senses. This will be a moment to unplug from technology and the high pace of this modern life, to slow down and connect with your direct experience.

Come, for a walk with me, to engage our senses

to see clearly, listen deeply, feel fully, and savor completely.

DRAWING INWARD & OUTWARD

~ URBAN/ Nature edition ~

Drawing inward & outward is a series of creative exercises, and movement & mindful practices that engage you in the present through the senses. Learning ways to LOOK and SEE clearly, FEEL fully, and savour completely each moment. It is an invitation to focus and enjoy the process of creative expression, rather than the perfection or expectation of an outcome. We will take moments to sharpen our observational skills in seeing and feeling all the details, textures, lines, and contours that make up each of our unique inner and outer landscapes. Learning ways to find beauty in the simple and ordinary and surrendering to the moment.

Using creative mindful practices as a healing source to cultivate a connection to ourselves, others, and our surroundings. To inspire exploration of our day-to-day in a more conscious way

WHAT TO EXPECT

1 ) DRAWING INWARD: Choosing a nearby park to begin, we will pause to bring ourselves to the moment by checking in: Using our breath, and mindful meditation to slow down and observe our body and mind as it is at the moment.  We will then move to a brief movement practice that is meant to release stagnant energy, circulate the chi, to the body and mind and calm the nervous system.  So we can prepare to flow and use our senses to observe our direct experience.

2 )  DRAWING OUTWARD:  We begin to stroll and meander through the forest, pausing along the way to practice the art of LOOKING AND SEEING, LISTENING DEEPLY, FEELY FULLY, and SAVOURING COMPLETELY each moment as it unfolds. Take moments to NOTICE and SENSE life.

SUBJECT MATTER:

Inspired by our day-to-day we will draw what surrounds us.  From the foliage, flowers, and trees to portraits of each other.
